Hingham Travel Basketball
Travel must register for The Barker League (in-town basketball) which plays on Saturdays starting November 21st.
Ages
Hingham Travel Basketball will enter multiple teams at each grade level from 3rd through 8th grade.
When
The Hingham Travel season starts with team practices in November, and games that run from December through February or March.
Where
Home Hingham Travel games and all practices will be held at Derby Academy, Hingham Rec Center and various Hingham Public School gymnasiums.
Away Hingham Travel games occur at various school gymnasiums at towns across the South Shore.
Practices
Travel teams will practice 1-2 times per week.
Games
Travel teams play 1-2 games per weekend (which could include Friday nights) in addition to their Barker League game on Saturday.
Jerseys
Travel players receive a reversible jersey and shorts with their preferred number.
Travel Tryout Overview and Schedule
Please have your athlete at the gym prior to start for check in with court shoes, basketball and water – athletes may not wear the same shoes they walked in on onto the playing surface. All water bottles and trash must leave the gym with your child or be put in the trash. Please reinforce this with your athlete.
The 2026-27 travel tryout will be a DROP OFF TRYOUT FOR ALL GRADES. Parents, guardians, siblings are not allowed courtside during the duration of the tryout.
If for some reason your child can not make both tryouts you must email Travel Director Ben Levin and receive an excused absence to maintain consideration for travel team placement.
